FARKAS-BARABÁS Szabolcs – guitar

He was born in 1989 in Csíkszereda, Romania (Miercurea Ciuc).  He has started guitar studies at the local “István Nagy” art school, where graduated in 2007, as the student of Mihály Nagy. His diligent work has fructified, because he took a successful entrance examination at the Gheorghe Dima music academy of Cluj. He learnt effectively under the coordination of dr. Constantin Andrei and dr. Beke István. He is a regular visitor and active member of the classical guitar master classes that are taught by well-known inland and foreign performers. He is also a solist and he has performed on the stage in the chamber music conformation, and he also has won the prize of nationwide and international competitions. In 2009, on the Cluj-Napoca "Transilvania" international competition, he finished third in the category of chamber music. Currently, he also plays gladly and regularly upon his favorite instrument.
