Mădălina Petre began studying guitar at age 9, at Highschool of Arts in Constanta, road that she followed also in the University of Music from Bucharest, graduating the Faculty and the Master Programme of Musical Interpretation, at the Classical Guitar Section, having Catalin Stefanescu-Patrascu as a teacher. Her musical activity refers to various concerts in choral and chamber music formulas and as a soloist. She has given numerous concerts and recitals as a soloist guitarist over her studying years, being constantly preoccupied by perfecting herself and participating at masterclasses supported by teachers like: Liviu Georgescu, Anabel Montesinos, Marco Tamayo, Sebastian Montes, Paulikovics Pal, Gabor Podhorsky, David Pavlovits, Antal Pusztai and many others.
Always attracted by singing she has improved her vocal skills in parallel with studying classical guitar. Approaching varied repertoire and having a big predilection for improvisation, led her to the genre which characterizes her best: jazz music. She participated in festivals like `Keep an eye on Summer School, Amsterdam`; `Iconarts Sibiu Festival`, `Jazz Festival in Sfantu Gheorghe`, in which she sustained concerts. She participated to masterclasses with teachers like: Deborah Carter, Claron McFadden, Francien van Tuinen, Maartje Meijer, Mircea Tiberian, Luiza Zan, John Betch, Linda Kovacs, Kazai Ági, Juhasz Gabor, Bogothy Adam Viktor, Toth Viktor. As a jazz vocalist she constantly has concerts in Bucharest and Constanta having a varied repertoire which always attracts trough the energical rhythms and the beauty of the story she creates with the lyrics.
