Born in Cluj-Napoca on 11th of September 1998, Alecu Ciapi studies classical guitar from the age of six with ?tefan Trifan, having his first stage and competition performances at the same age. Today, at the age of 12, his general record includes already 45 prizes, among which there are 24 first prizes in classical guitar competitions, obtaining from the beginning the best results and the appreciation of international and national juries: Guitar Art Festival in Belgrade (Serbia), Andres Segovia Guitar Festival for Young Guitarists in Velbert (Germany), Guitar Competition Julian Arcas in Almeria (Spain), TRANSILVANIA International Guitar Festival, Guitar Festival Târgu Mure?, Guitar Festival Sinaia, Johann Sebastian Bach Festival, Eduard Pamfil Guitar Festival. His exceptional talent makes him the holder of several records: among others, Alecu is the only Romanian guitarist who won the grand prize in two different age categories at once, repeating this performance in three international guitar festivals. He attended the master classes of world renowned professors and performers like: Pepe Romero, Judicael Perroy, Gerhardt Reichenbach, Susana Prieto, Alexis Muzurakis, Dale Kavanagh, Thomas Khirchhoff, Giampaolo Bandini, Roberto Fabri, Gabriel Bianco, Flavio Sala, Marco Feri, Stolina Dobreva, Ulrich Muller, Claire Stancu Delerue etc. Alecu Ciapi is member of TRANSILVANIA Guitar Association since 2006.
