BOTOS Gyula
He was born on 14th of March, 1986 in Nyíregyháza (In Hungary) in a musician family.
He started his musician career in Budapest when he was 8. He got his first lessons from his family. Than he was Ede Roth’s pupil, with who they worked until nearly 10 years together. During that time he participated on several concerts and festivals. Among other things: on the Guitar festival in Győr, Szeged and Fertőd, on the Festival of the Valley of Arts, Pepsi-Island Festival.
He participated twice on the National Classical Guitar competition in his music school age and he hot both of them the third place. At the first competition he got the award for the youngest musician.
He has learnt at the Musician School Béni Egressy at Budapest, likewise Ede Roth. During this time he participated on two music competitions and he got every time the first place. At the International Classical Guitar competition in Szeged he was in the finale. After his graduation from high school he passed into the Music Academy at Vienna. He is a student of Professor Alvarro Pierri. He became a classical musician, but he was also interested in jazz. As an undergraduate he took care more and more with jazz and nowadays in this kind of music he participate in more projects.
